i'm baaaack....

for starters, i am finally posting the pix from the event we did at church for the children in uganda...

this picture was taken around 8:30am at the top of spooner summit, which is a very high mountain pass near us. we are all getting ready to play "soldier/children" where some of the kids were "soldiers" looking to kidnap the children. pretty fun, especially in the freezing cold, crisp tahoe air!

we also celebrated brittany's 14th b-day last week with a surprise party. we had plans that fell through to go to san francisco, so i wanted to make sure she had a great b-day. with the help of her friends and big sis, we were able to pull off a successful surprise...

busy, busy, busy!

well, i have been crocheting my little fingers off since i got a nice big order from some nice ladies in the area who are opening a new internet store! oh my aching wrists! and for some strange reason, i got the most overwhelming desire to mop the entire house, (those of you who have been to my home know this is not something one would normally WANT to do), by hand, on my hands and knees this morning...must be the full moon or something....

now, on to make 100 sack lunches for tommorrows invisible children event at the church...and get a good night sleep. we have to pack up the gang and get out of the house by 6am, yikes! all day in tahoe and then back to carson city for the 6.3? mile walk to the church and then a movie about the invisible children...then more games...lights out at 12 midnight, cough,cough, ...back to church at the crack of dawn (maybe)...then home to crash for the remainder of our sunday! oh, and here's a neat little tidbit...on sunday at church i received this little message from above...Jeremiah 1, 4-10. gave kalie and brittany the goose pimples when i told them to read it, especially since we have been talking baout going to africa!

random bits of info...i am so excited that there is a new alice in wonderland coming out! tim burton is so dark and gloomy, but i like him, why? this puzzles me... i cut off my hair again...it has been 2 years. i have 2 pig tails of hair, to give to locks of love, that are about 12 inches long. weird that someone will be walking around with my hair...

just a little extra sumthin'...

i saw this on the poppytalk blog and thought it was soooo interesting. when iwas a little girl, i wanted to be a celluloid painter for animation, so anyway, i thought it was neato.

my computer stinks....

so, i posted, or tried to post on friday, but my dumb computer took a big dive and decided to  semi-crash on me, so here is what i can remember of that post...

i updated my etsy shop on friday. take a look on the right side of my blog and click on the pinkcherrymama link under the pictures.  God has been good and sent me another wholesale order for my beanies-woohoo! i will be crocheting my little fingers off for the next week!!!

i am super-dee-duper excited about the upcoming event our youth group is doing at CVC! on november 15, we are going to be putting on an all day event which will include going up to tahoe, playing games, eating, etc...then ending in a 6.?? mile walk from carson city to the church in recognition of the northern ugandan children who are forced to become "night commuters" in order to keep from being kidnapped and forced to fight in the horrible war going on there. please visit  the invisible children website and get involved if you can. the kids have been raising money to help with this very worth while cause.

i am still having a battle with my body and trying to fight this sinus infectio, so your prayers would be appreciated. i will leave you now with some lovely pictures...enjoy and have a wonderful sunday!
