today's giveaway is...

 

a set of 5 tags. use them as placecards for thanksgiving or to write down what you're thankful for about each guest. the winner can choose to have these with or without the "thankful", if they would like to use them as placecards.

here's how to enter:

1. leave a comment, telling me one thing you are thankful for, that you normally take for granted. {you will understand why when you read on}

2. that's it! i will have big daddy choose a winner at 9:45am, tomorrow morning. i will post the winner at 10am.

i just finished reading this book last night. i stayed up until 2am reading!

it is amazing the things i take for granted everyday that were taken away from these amazing survivors with so little thought....my child, for instance!!! i cannot imagine my child being taken from my arms and thrown to the ground, to their death, like a piece of trash, insignificant and worthless. i am in a puddle of my own tears as i type. this story reminded me of how blessed i am to live freely and able to walk the streets without worrying about being suddenly snatched away or having my children taken for no reason. these are basic freedoms that everyone should have, 
 yet it amazes me that there are still places in this world where those
 freedoms are not given.

no more sad stuff!!!

i will be posting them on etsy today. with alice in wonderland being so popular right now, these stir sticks and food picks are great for parties.

I'm so thankful that God loves me so much...as some of you know that these last few years have been exceptionally hard and full of trials for me....but thru all the trials I knew that I knew that I knew, God our Father was with me. I have learned that HE as the master gardner, prunes us just as HE would a tree..removing things, trimming things away for what ever reason, we don't know why. Only He knows. I'm still content, that's what His word says to do..I truly am and I love HIM with all my heart and soul...He is first and last for me...oh yea..Thankful for all of our Freedoms we have...and Ice Cream!

I am so thankful for the fact that despite the upbringing i had... the rough times as a child and then having a lousy marriage that I am still going strong! I the best kids one could ask for! I am thankful that I am not the kind of parent that my mother was/is for me...I broke the chain! I couldn't ask for anything more... (well maybe winning the lottery) (;

let's see...i am soooo thankful for soooo many things! lately i'd have to say mostly for the grace that god shines on me EVERYDAY. even though i make the most wack-a-doo decisions....he stills loves me :) still protects me. and still calls me his own.

such a lovely post, dear friend!!! and i did get my taggie and magnet! i've beeen meaning to tell you both THANK YOU SO MUCH but i have been waaaaaaaaaaay under the weather and am just barely emerging from under my covers!
